As one of the winners of Beauteque’s Curate A Collection contest for bloggers, I not only had the opportunity to curate my own collection, but also to review a collection of one of my fellow winners. I am reviewing The Glamour Collection by Priyanka of Glamour and Giggles. Keep reading to find out more!
Aloe Moisturizing and Soothing Mask
This is a nourishing essential face mask containing aloe extract that helps to maintain the balance of moisture in your skin and soothes irritated skin.
To use: Apply to clean face for 15-20 minutes. Remove and massage remaining essence into skin.
FaceQ (Face Queen) is a brand that I haven’t tried before, but I must say, the packaging is simply adorable! This is a Taiwanese brand, which explains why I haven’t seen it as of yet. I love aloe masks, so I am definitely happy to have another one in my arsenol of masks.
This line of masks boasts a 3D mesh structure, which is designed to help the face become and stay moisturized. It also claims to help reduce the look of fine lines and aging. Value: 1.90$
It’s Skin It’s Top Professional Fix Gel Eyeliner
Define eyes with this rich eyeliner.
To use: Pack brush with product, then draw line on with a steady hand, from the inner corner of eyelid outwards.
I’ll admit that I haven’t had this much experience with this type of eyeliner. I’m a rather simple gal for eyeliner. Usually I will tightline my eyes and call it a day. This eyeliner makes me want to try to fancy it up a little bit since it’s so nice and has ridiculous staying power. (I’m talking I needed to break out eye specific remover to get it to budge off of my hand.) This particular eyeliner comes in two different colors- black or brown. Value: 13,99$
I’m so happy to have gotten mugwort in this!Mugwort is a member of the daisy family and is said to help with acne due to the high content of vitamin E. I have the Cucumber from awhile back in a Beauteque bag, and I really like it. While I may not need to fight signs of aging, it’s still a very nice cream. I don’t usually spend a full 5 minutes massaging my face. I will usually do a minute or two before I am “over it”. Luckily, there is also a one minute massage option.
Etude House Look at My Eyes Shadow
To use: Apply on lid, crease or browbone depending on shade with shadow brush.
This color is called PP501 Sweet Potato Latte. It’s sort of a cross between a light brown and a bit of purple. I find that it is subtle enough that I would happily wear it on a regular basis. This product also comes in a large variety of colors, which is great if you love the formula. It’s really pigmented and I find it goes on without a lot of fall out or cakiness.
A’pieu Soochaebit Finger Blusher
This cream blusher has a smooth texture and natural color.
To use: Apply a small amount to apples of cheeks with fingers.
I received this in WH01, which is a highlighter. I chose the highlighter because it’s not something that I generally have in my beauty supply collection. This goes on smooth and doesn’t feel sticky. This product comes in quite a few colors, and I’m actually intrigued to try one of the blushes since having the chance to try the highlighter.
This collection has a value of 47.58$ and retails for 26$ on the Beauteque site. I am so impressed with this collection and I cannot say enough about how great a collection that Priyanka curated. If you want to snag your own bag, you can check it out here. There are options for the eyeshadow, eyeliner and finger blusher colors. (I think it’s fantastic that you can select what would work best for you.)
What did you think of this collection? Did you order one for yourself?
This is the moment that you all I have been waiting for. Here’s the low-down on the collection that I helped to curate as part of a blogger contest Beauteque held. I, along with two others, Michele from Beautyfindsforme and Priyanka GlamourandGiggles had the amazing opportunity to each curate a collection. It was truly an awesome experience, and if you haven’t checked out Beauteque yet, get on that!
Without further ado, here’s the result of all of our hard work. I present to you,Nautical and Nice, featuring pictures taken on a nice sandy beach.
This gentle scrub cleanser is rich of seaweed it has strengthening and exfoliating benefits. Seaweed is filled with vitamins and nutrients that provide anti inflammatory effects reducing swelling of pores and blemishes. Lifts away dirt, oil, and dead skin cells.
To use: massage into skin for 1 to 2 minutes, rinse off with warm water.
I love the ingredient list for this scrub! The seaweed ingredients help strengthen your skin and exfoliate. Seaweed is chock full of vitamins and minerals that are great for the skin. It can help clear out your pores while being very gentle to the skin. This scrub also contains konjac, which is a vegetable root that is often seen as a sponge, but can obviously be used in other ways. The konjac is one of the ingredients that makes this scrub slightly tacky to the touch.
I find this to be very gentle on my skin, which I appreciate. It’s something that I am comfortable using often since it’s not too abrasive. Plus, having skin prone to acne and oiliness, it helps keep my pores a bit cleaner and clearer.
Finally, this scrub is free of so many bad things for your skin. Such as: parabens, GMO, benzyl alcohol, phenoxyethanol, artificial colors, benzophenone, sorbic acid, ratyum petrolatum, talc, sulfate-based surfactants, triclosan, synthetic antioxidants, benzalkonium chloride, and imidazolidinyl urea. Most of the aforementioned ingredients are artificial preservatives.
This essence formula nourishes and brightens skin with a unique combination of ingredients from the sea: Tahitian black pearl extracts (rich in proteins and amino acids that restore luster )and deep sea red algae (which gives a boost of vitamin C ). A variety of plant and fruit extracts, like pineapple, cucumber, and lime, lighten your natural skin tone and minimize dark spots, while citric acid gently exfoliates dead skin cells. Cosphingo, a patented long-lasting moisturizer extracted from seaweed, provides hydration.
To use: Apply 20-30 minutes to clean skin, the remove. Massage remaining essence into skin.
I adore My Beauty Diary masks and when I remembered that this one existed, I knew that I had to pick it to include in this theme. These masks a saturated and fit well (in my experience). In the case of this mask, the pearl helps the skin look bright while the plants/fruits also help to make the skin more vibrant. I hate when my skin looks dull, so this mask is a winner for me.
Gentle mask that peels off. Seaweed extract cleanses pores clearly to create smooth skin. Adheres to skin lightly to remove impurities and dead skin cells clearly. Deep sea water contains minerals that offer vitality to the skin.
To use: After cleansing, apply a moderate amount all over the face except the eyes and mouth areas. Peel off from the chin to the forehead after 10-15 minutes when it gets dry completely. Rinse off with warm water.
I love, love, love this peel off mask! Aside from the fact that I quite enjoy peel of masks, this one is really quite lovely in spite of it’s brownish-green appearance. I put this on and wore it for about 20 minutes before attempting to peel it off. It left my skin nice and soft. It was also a fair bit less oily when I peeled it off, which I definitely appreciate in this heat. And, even though the oiliness was gone, my skin wasn’t dry– it was actually pretty hydrated. I didn’t find that it had much of an odor, which I appreciated it. It had a bit of a smell upon first going on my face, but it quickly dissipated.
Skinfood Seaweed Mineral Waterproof Eyeshadow
A beautiful neutral shadow complements everyone.
To use: swipe across lid.
With this eyeshadow, you can pick either honey or beige when you order your bag. The color pictured above is honey, and it’s a nice and creamy neutral. What I love about this eyeshadow is that it covers well and it also has a handy blending tip at one end of the stick. This was a little soft when I first opened it, so I would suggest sticking it somewhere cooler so that it firms up a little bit.
If you’re interested, this eyeshadow comes in multiple colors– most of them neutrals.
Innisfree Sea Salt Whipping Cleanser
A refreshing cleansing foam that cleanses the skin thoroughly with a rich, sea salt extract-infused foam that’s as soft as a whipped cream. Soft, rich foam thoroughly. Sea salt removes dirt from pores, while jeju mineral salt protects skin.
To use: lather well, then massage into face. Rince with lukewarm water.
Innisfree makes a few different versions of this cleanser, and all of them have varying amounts of jeju mineral salt. This particular version has 30% salt. The other versions, Sea Salt Perfect Cleanser and Sea Salt Jelly Cleanser hae 40% and 20% respectively. The version I chose is smack dab in the middle in terms of salt content. This lathers up nicely and you can really feel the salt on your face, which provides a nice and gentle exfoliation. One word of warning, be careful around your eyes! You don’t want to accidentally get this in them.
This collection is selling for 29$ on Beauteque.com and is currently still in stock as I’m posting this review. I truly hope you all enjoy my hard work and will let me know what you think!
From August 3rd to 9th, Beauteque is celebrating a Week of Positivity. This week is all about being, feeling and active positively. The to-live-by phrase for the week is ” Be Your Best Self.” (You’ll see more about what that means if you keep reading.) Small acts of kindness, such as paying for someone’s coffee or taking the time to have a real conversation, can make a huge impact on someone’s day and cause a ripple effect.
This week, Beauteque is holding a promotion where 50% of their proceeds will be going to Dress for Success. Dress for Success is all about encouraging women and building up their self-esteem by helping them. It’s a not-for-profit organization that helps women by providing professional attire, support and career development to encourage success.
To celebrate this week, I’ve been asked to participate in a Be Your Best Self tag. I love the idea of spreading positivity and encouraging others to do the same. That being said, some of these questions were really tough! I’m great at recognizing greatness or good qualities in others, but, like many, I’m not so good at or comfortable doing so about myself.
Was there a time where you had to be brave in a difficult situation? Absolutely! In spite of my rather high strung nature, I keep a level head in emergency situations. I’ve had situations where I needed to keep a level head in order to keep everyone safe. It’s not something I like doing, but it’s nice to know that I am can.
Who inspires you to be your best self? This is a really tough question for me. I don’t generally look up to people. I find that I find inspiration in the moment. It could be from reading an article about someone being selfless or doing something cool, or it could be witnessing something really cool. I keep tabs on the news and what is happening in the world– the good and the bad. I always seem to come across something that inspires me and makes me have faith that people can be good, caring and awesome. Check this out for an example.
What is your greatest personal achievement? I’d have to say having a full time job in my chosen field (education). I love my job even though it’s a lot of work. It’s very rewarding and I’m proud that I was able to achieve that dream.
Share a time where you acted selflessly.
This answer is a bit similar to #10, but I often act with others in mind. If it’s within my power or abilities to help, then I will do so. Recently, I went to hang out with a friend because she was scheduled for surgery and I didn’t want her to be miserable.
What is the best compliment you have ever given?
I find the best compliments are the ones that are both spontaneous and that mean something to the person who is receiving them. Sometimes a simple compliment of “your hair looks especially amazing today” can set the day off on the right foot for someone. Or recognizing them for something they did that went above and beyond. I’ve seen first hand how a small bit of praise can make a huge difference.
What is the best compliment you have ever received? I can’t think of a particular instance for this, but I am rather ballsy when it comes to performing in front of people. I love singing for a crowd. I find it rather empowering when people recognize that it’s not always easy to get in front of a crowd, especially of people that you know. So, I guess my answer would be something along the lines of “That’s so brave/ I would never feel comfortable doing that” etc. While it’s nice to hear that they thought I sounded great, it somehow feels even better to know that they think I did something that they couldn’t do.
What’s your best beauty tip?
Take care of your skin! I am not much of a makeup person, so having clear skin is important to me. I do my best to drink lots of water and I take the time to cleanse, prep and pamper my skin. It can take awhile, but I feel that it’s worth it.
What beauty product makes you feel your best self?
I love eyeliner and mascara because they accentuate my eyes. I really love my blue eyes. I’m a rather expressive individual and having my eyes framed just so makes me happy.
What do you do that makes you feel like your best self? I tend to stress. A lot. There are a few things that I have found to help me mellow out and be more relaxed.
*First and foremost, singing is my best stress reliever. I sing so much (sorry neighbors!) but it really helps center me.
*Another thing I like to do is pamper myself and curl up with a book (especially after a warm bath or shower). I like putting on a sheet mask, put on comfy jammies and selecting a nice novel.
* I also recently started taking different art classes, such as glass fusion, and I find it’s really calming. After a bad day, there are few things more theraputic than breaking some glass.
What is something that you love about yourself?
I love that I am loyal. I would do just about anything from my friends (or family). Whether that be sitting in a parking lot while they vent to me over the phone after a rough day, making them soup to make them feel better, or just being there for them. Once you’ve proven yourself worthy of my loyalty, you have it, no questions asked.
So, here’s the fun part. I am going to nominate a few people to tackle this Be Your Best Self tag. I am challenging three other bloggers to attempt this. I nominate Acadian Beauty,Beejuboxes and The Pretty Pomegranate. (I hope you all will accept this challenge, but don’t feel pressured! It’s all about spreading the love and positivity.)
If I haven’t challenged you and you want to attempt this, go for it! Just make sure to explain why your’e doing it (like I did at the top. Feel free to copy my little BYBS blurb). To make it a little easier, I will post the questions in the comments.
Hey guys! If you’ve been following my blog for awhile, you likely read that I was one of the winners of Beauteque’s Curate-a-Collection contest for Bloggers along with Beautyfindsforme (Michele) and GlamourandGiggles (Priyanka). It was such an amazing experience to curate a collection of cool products and to work with Beauteque. It’s so interesting to see how things work behind the scences, since normally I just see a collection/box that I want and purchase it. And let me tell you, it’s sometimes a lot more complicated than you realize. But, without further ado, here’s a nice peak into what I curated since today is LAUNCH DAY! If you’d like to grab one of these for your very own, head over to Beauteque! It’s on sale for 29$! But, this lovely bag has a value of over 50$! Beauteque ships to USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore. Shipping does change based on where it is shipping. I hope you check this out! Let me know what you think in the comments! Stay tuned for a more in-depth post coming soon! Cheers, Kristen
I am so sorry for the delay in posting this! Between work being insane and going away for a week, I’ve gotten seriously behind on my posting. Usually my postings of these bags aren’t in the same month (shipping to Canada takes a bit, sadly) but I’m not usually quite this late.
I couldn’t be more pleased with the June bag. These curations just keep getting better and better!
Offers anti-aging and brightening powers, will improving elasticity of the eye area, leaving this delicate area refreshed and younger looking. To use: cleanse your face and pat dry. Remove film on back of patch and apply to an area with the largest part closest to the nose. Leave on for 10 to 20 minutes and remove. Value: $7
EGF is Epidermal Growth Factor which helps encourage skin renewal. That seems like a very useful ingredient in a mask which is said to help elasticity around the eye area. I really want to try this mask, but I suspect that I will fall asleep if I do. That being said, my eye area is in serious need of some TLC. I think the pricing was wrong on this product card, because even Beauteque’s website has it listed much cheaper, at 4.50$.
iCharming Witch’s Pouch Lip and Eye Remover
Remove lip and eye makeup in luxurious comfort. To use: apply a cotton swab and sweep gently across eye area and lip area. Value: $10
I love these types of eye/lip makeup remover because they really, really work. I’m just about finished a bottle of oil based remover that I received eons ago in a memebox. With these types of removers, be sure to shake it to mix it all together before using. iCharming seems to be part of the company Witch’s pouch, which has a good reputation, though I have yet to receive anything of that brand.
TonyMoly Cotton Balls
Remove old Polish in prep for new shade with this cleverly packaged bundle of cotton balls. To use: pour a moderate amount of nail polish remover on cotton ball, and swipe across nails to remove polish. Value: $4
Oh my goodness! This is almost too cute to use! I’ve put them on my bathroom counter and they definitely add a little flair.
iCharming nail polish
Greet the season in polished style with a high gloss finish nail polish. To use: apply after removing old nail polish with the Tony Moly cotton balls and polish remover, apply nail polish and vertical strokes to nails. Value: $5
This is a pinkish color with big sparkles, even though it doesn’t quite look like that in the photo. Check out below for a swatch. This isn’t really a color that I will wear, but it can likely be passed down to a younger person who is more into sparkles than I am.
Baviphat Peach All-in-one Peeling Gel Mini
Exfoliate, reduce appearance of pores, and brighten skin with a vitamin C rich treatment. To use: apply to dried off skin and rub in circular, gentle motions until product turns into small flakes, then rinse with lukewarm water. Value: $5
I love peeling gels! It’s so much fun to apply it and rub it around knowing that there goes all of the dead skin cells. I am glad to have a little jar like this because it makes it so much easier to induct my friends into these types of things. Lugging around a full size container just isn’t in the cards sometimes.
Baviphat Strawberry Toxifying Mask
This deep cleansing wash off clay mask helps to tighten pores, control sebum and give relief to troubled skin. It contains strawberry extract and fruit acids full of vitamin C that can speed up removal of dead skin cells and tighten pores. Antioxidants stave off signs of aging and protects skin. To use: apply to clean skin for 15 to 20 minutes then rinse off with warm water. Value: $26
This mask looks a lot like strawberry yogurt pink and actually smells of strawberries! So basically, not only is the packaging cool, the product inside is pretty sweet too. This is a clay mask that dries on the face but doesn’t flake off. One of the varieties of clay, bentonite, is used to tighten and get rid of the gunk in your pores. Since I have many clay masks, I actually passed this off to a friend who seems to like it.
May Island Peach Hand Cream
Smelling a fresh peaches, this cream contains extracts of speech, apricots and shea butter for your smooth skin yet. Value: $6
I seem to have quite the collection of fruit shaped hand creams now. I love that it smells so nice and it’s decently moisturizing. If I’m being honest, it could be awful and I would still probably love it for its’ shape and smell.
I paid roughly 24$ USD for this bag and received a value of 63$. That being said, with some creative looking, you can often find these items at a cheaper rate. I am so pleased with this bag and I love the adorable packaging! I think that this month is one of the best yet, and as I mentioned above, I think the curation just keeps getting better and better.
Another month, another Beauteque monthly bag! I really like getting these. I find there is such a variety and I keep getting things that are new to me. And for that reason, this is a win.
May Island Donkey Milk Skin Mask Pack
Double your skin benefits with this three step pack.
To use: Take the cleanser and rub into face, then wash off. Then apply ampoule onto entire face. On the last step, take the sheet mask and spread onto the face for 15-20 minutes. Then remove it from your face.
I find these so intriguing. I’ve actually never used an ampoule before, and I definitely have not used a mask that came with its’ own cleanser and ampoule. I think it’s great that they come packaged like this. I received two different masks to try, Wrinkle Filler and Mela-Tox. The Wrinkle Filler is exactly for what it sounds– wrinkles. The Mela-tox is for whitening of the skin. Value: 3.20$x 2
Holika Holika Pig Nose Clear Blackhead Starter
This gel helps to open your pores while eliminating buildup within them. Its pink clay ingredients helps absorb excess sebum and soften stubborn blackheads.
To use: After cleansing, apply to the area with blackheads and massage for 3 minutes. Then use lukewarm water to rinse off.
I actually just bought a blackhead balm from tester korea not too long ago so this is being put into my stash for a little while. I am intrigued by the idea of pink clay and I wonder how this will work when I do put it into my rotation. Value: 10$
You can use this spritz on your body, as well as when you close your eyes to refresh your face.
To use: When your skin feels dry, spray onto face and tap for absorption.
I love this mist! It’s so refreshing and I love the peachy scent. This also comes in apple and lime. I am definitely going to enjoy this during the summer.
The Face Shop Eyelash Curler
A lash curler is the secret to the multiplying lashes and adding explosive volume.
To use: Open the curler and clamp at the root of lashes, release after 20-30 seconds.
Before this arrived, my eyelash curler was a fold up plastic do-hickey. Now, I feel all fancy with this. I actually had the chance to try this out a few days after receiving it and it definitely works well. It mae my already long lashes super defined and curly. Value: 7.60$
Nature Republic By Flower Vivid Tint Bar
This multitasker offers SPF15, jojoba oil and beautiful color. This protects delicate lips from the harmful and moisturize them all at once.
To use: When lips are chapped or dry, use lip balm to moisturize lips.
I think this is my favorite product out of the bag. While the color is a bit strong on me (or I am just not used to wearing colored lips), it’s just so moisturizing and makes my lips so soft and smooth. I’ve actually taken to wearing it around the house and to bed because it just works that well. I’m interested to try out some other colors to see if there is on that is less bright on my lips. I love that this has SPF because the weather has turned quite nice and I really ought to wear SPF a lot more than I do. Value: 8$
Nature Republic Bulgarian Rose Essence
Vitamins A and C enliven, and rose moisturizes.
To use: Apply after cleansing and toning by rubbing into skin for a result you will start to see and feel immediately.
I haven’t opened this yet as I have an essence on the go already, but I am admittedly a bit nervous about the rose smell. I’m not sure how I will like it. This is part of a line of products and it’s designed to moisturize the skin. Value: 17$
Mikatvonk Auto Eyeliner Pencil
Define eyes with this liner from Mikatvonk, a hot line from a leading Australian makeup artist!
To use: Apply from inner to outer corner of eyes and of either or both top and bottom lashline.
I hadn’t used white eyeliner prior to this, but it’s decent. I looked up uses for it, and I learned that putting it on your lower lash line makes you appear more awake. (score!) I found it went on decently and lasted. This is actually an Australian brand. While I normally go for more Korean brands, I’m still discovering something new, so I’m happy. I also really enjoy that it’s double sided. Value: 15$
I paid roughly 24$ USD plus shipping to Canada, which is 5.95. I received a value of 75$ as per Beauteque’s prices. I actually really quite enjoyed this bag. The bag itself was adorable and the mix of products was fantastic.
If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile, or if you are following me on instagram you may know that I was in the running for the Beauteque Blogger Curate-a-collection contest. The good news is, I won one of the spots along with beautyfindsforme and Glamourandgiggles taking the other two.
Aside from getting to curate my own collections of goodies, I had the chance to pick some treats from the Beauteque shop. I spent quite awhile pondering this over and eventually decided on goodies that I had been wanting to try, based on reviews or having tried other products from the company. I picked 3 sheet maks (I love sheet masks!), a cleanser, a body/hand lotion, a hair treatment and a peeling cream. While these aren’t necessarily the items that will be in the bag I will curate, I am definitely having fun with them.
I have included the descriptions from the Beauteque product pages in this post. Those are indicated in italics.
Description: This peeling cream visibly exfoliates and clarifies within minutes, leaving skin fresh and supple. It gives the healthy boost your complexion needs with Vitamins A, B1, B6, and C. Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) loosens the bind between skin and dead cells, allowing the cream to massage deeply and bring waste and dead cells to the surface for easy elimination. Green apple extract ensures that your skin will look brighter and silkier within minutes! It’s especially useful for normal to oily skin, as it reacts with your natural oils in the exfoliating process. The soothing white cream has a natural green apple scent, and is packaged in a cute apple-shaped container.
Can I just say that I am a sucker for adorable packaging? I’m very pleased that this not only looks cute but packs a punch. (I also own the apple cream in the red apple.) As the name indicates, this is a peeling cream that smells of green apples. You massage it into your skin until little eraser bits start coming off, indicating that dead skin is coming off too. You are supposed to massage for 1-2 minutes, leave it for 30 seconds and then rinse off with tepid water. This can actually be used for all skin types, but I think it would especially be great for those with oily skin to help get rid of extra impurities.
I love that this has apple in it. Apple has so many lovely things that are nice to your skin in it. This product has so many lovely vitamins and nutrients in it. It has Vitamins A, B1, B6, and C to help boost and liven up your complexion. Green apple extract also makes skin look healthier. Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) helps to loosen dead skin to help improve the appearance of your skin.
I’ve used this twice so far and I loved it! I don’t often spend much time massaging my skin, so this was quite a treat. Plus, with how smooth my skin looked afterwards, this is definitely a winner for me.
150ml Value: 17$ (reg) currently on-sale for 13,60$
Description: This unique 2-in-1 facial cleanser and makeup remover has a refreshing, vitamin-packed formula that deeply cleanses skin and opens clogged pores. With organic acids and nutrients from apple extracts, it gently exfoliates the skin and removes all traces of cosmetics to reveal a healthy, natural glow. The mild formula soaks deeply into skin with a light, refreshing apple scent and is free of mineral oil, artificial colors, animal ingredients, and ethanol.
This is a cleanser and a makeup remover rolled up all in one. Yay for multi purpose products! A two-fer product that just happens to smell like green apple candies! This product is enriched with app le extract to soften the skin and make it radiant. (Apparently like a freshly washed apple). I’ve tried using both cleansing directions and I have been impressed both times. This is in a pump bottle (win!) that is really easy to dispense. I am finding that a quarter sized dab in the middle of my palm is enough to do my entire face and part of my neck. This product is also free of mineral oil, artifical colors, animal ingredients and ethanol.
Directions: When deep cleaning is desired, do not wet hands or face. Apply an appropriate amount on your hands and gently smooth over the face to dissolve makeup. Add water to fingertips and massage to fully dissolve makeup. Rince with lukewarm water. When light cleaning is desired, apply an appropriate amount on to a wet face. Massage on the face and rince with lukewarm water.
Description: Take a miniture vacation with the majestic smell of gold kiwi. Nourish your skin with The Face Shop Gold Kiwi Hand & Body Shiffon. This cushiony, chiffon-like ultra moisturizing hand and body cream with Green Grape Extract goes on smooth and helps restore firmness.
I had such a hard time picking between this and the grape cream. With short weather finally here, I am definitely more aware of how dry and scaly my legs may look after a long winter of semi-neglect. I ended up choosing this one because I can be quite fickle over grape scented things and I adore kiwis. The smell reminds me so much of something, but I can’t quite put my finger on it.
This product is made for all skin types and is surprisingly moisturising. It also doesn’t feel at all greasy and I find that it leaves my skin nice and soft. It also comes in grape and strawberry.
Description: Holika Holika Juicy Blueberry Mask Sheet soothes skin while improving its natural, radiating glow. Blueberry contains certain nutrients that can counteract the hormonal conditions that contribute to the development of acne. Many of the vitamins in blueberries may neutralize or normalize oil levels in your skin, making it healthier and less likely to accumulate sebum. Suitable for all skin types seeking to reduce oily, acne-stricken skin.
For whatever reason, every single time I have purchased this mask, someone always seems to weasel it out of me. I loooove blueberries and love the idea that this is energizing. (With what my schedule looks like for the next month, this will definitely be needed). I am glad that this mask is good at combating oil (warm weather= oilier skin for me) and hormonal breakouts happen for me about once a month so I am also glad to see that this helps prevent that.
I have had great experiences with the Holika Holika Juicy line and I don’t doubt that this will live up to expectations. The other masks in the line are: Pomegranate, Aloe, Tea Tree, Mango and Tomato. As with most sheet masks, this is worn for about 10-15 minutes, but I often leave them on longer than that with no adverse effects.
Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Alcohol, Sodium Hyaluronate, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Vaccinium Angustifolium (Blueberry) Fruit extract, Malpighia Emarginata (Acerole) Fruit Extract, Euterpe Oleracea Fruit Extract, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Extract, Allantoin, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance (COSDNA)
Description: Treat red, irritated skin with the soothing benefits of Tea Tree in this sheet mask. Use on acne prone skin. This non sticky formula soaks into your skin on the perfectly shaped mask.
I feel like I could write an ode to tea tree oil. I love what it does for my skin, especially when I have a breakout. Because of this, I try to keep a few tea tree oil masks on hand at all times. Tea Tree helps clear my complexion up when I do get some acne. I found this mask to be hydrating but also very soothing to my poor tempermental skin.
Description: Get a younger, healthier glow in just a few minutes! Tony Moly I’m Real Pomegranate Mask is a three-layer sheet mask packed with pomegranate extracts that naturally boost your collagen, increase elasticity, and soften and remove keratin buildup. The watery essence absorbs deeply into the skin without any stickiness or heaviness. This mask provides the nutrients your dry or wrinkled skin needs for a brighter, more youthful tone.
I’ve tried a few masks from this line but hadn’t had the chance to try the pomegranate one when I had the opportunity to select these goodies. Which is why it made the cut. I find these masks to be saturated with essence and that they leave my skin feeling firm and moisturized. While wrinkles and fine lines aren’t really an issue for me at my age, I feel it’s never too early to be cognizant of them. Eventually they will happen. I also (on occasion) do get really dry skin, usually when the weather changes quickly.
Description: Transforms damaged hair into shiny, frizz-free hair. This product is alcohol free.
My hair often has a mind of its own and doesn’t always like to do what I tell it. It is also usually a frizz ball. Partly because I live near the ocean and partly because it’s a pain. I find that when I take the time to moisturize and deep treat my hair that it isn’t quite as bad and is manageable for awhile. This is where this hair treatment comes in. I’m hoping that it will help tame my frizzies and make my hair a little less wild. The packaging says that it’s salon proven formula, so we shall see.
I am so, so thrilled and excited to have won this contest and to have received these goodies from Beauteque. I cannot thank them enough for this. I really hadn’t anticipated getting anything when I signed up for the contest. I just like giving my two cents worth (hence why I have a blog). I am so glad to see some of my favorite brands on Beautque’s online store and I can’t wait to see what else they add in the future. I sort of had a fruit theme going on here. But I can’t help it! I love fruity skincare products!
